Whenever my friend loses something, I tell her to look under her DDR mat. xD
I don't know what that has to do with this situation, though.

Sometimes I regret choosing to be in Band over Orchestra. The Orchestra conductor at my school is so much more lax than the Band conductor.

Hah, nice, Presea. XD
Personally, I like strict conductors. They make the orchestra play better. :3

My orchestra conductor was the worst conductor in existence. >.> First, she can't keep a beat. (Immediate problem right there.) Second, most of the the students play better than her. Third, she keeps telling people to hold their notes differently than they're supposed to be. She told me to hold a dotted quarter note for like 2.5 beats once. Needless to say, I dropped out of orchestra this year. =D

And I thought my orchestra teacher is bad... he's a band teacher. XD;;

Orchestra almost got dropped as program here, and she would have replaced our band teacher. And then all the band kids would quit, and the band program would be gone, too. >.> But they kept orchestra. xD

Our orchestra isn't all that great since it's conducted by a band teacher... but at least our band teacher knows how to keep a beat. >.>

We have a new conductor this year, he's more annoying than strict, he treated us like 3rd graders for like the first half of the year, but the class is an automatic A+, which is the only good thing I have for him in my book.
I hate playing the Halo theme. -_-

Hah! I played the Halo theme earlier this year. What's this obsession with band teachers and Halo? >.>

I play the Oboe and I guess the sax... I had to play Tenor (cause thats what the school had so I didn't have to buy another instrument) for football games at the begining of the year and i'm going to play it for a parade at the end of the year. And I might play it if I join the school's Jazz band. But I don't really like it that much...
And I want to learn to play the Trumpet, cause my friends brother is a senior and he plays it in the high band (which I'm also in. Woo for Freshmen in a better band than some some sophomores (and maybe Juniors, IDK)) and the Jazz band, and he's really good at it. Which makes me want to play it. But I'd (and by I, I mean my parents XD) would have to buy it...
But the Oboe's my main instrument.

Sometimes I wish I played a double reed like oboe/bassoon, although oboe is a little too much like clarinet for my taste. =p You have to play another instrument to do parades/football games? My school let's double reeds play at football games and, well, they just don't go to parades...lucky them. >_> @ari, that's kind of weird band teacher's and halo...oh well, our OTHER pieces are good. According to the band conductor we're not spending too much time on the memorial day parade pieces, which..bothers me a bit, although they ARE ridiculously easy. I can't wait for graduation to come, I love playing Pomp and Circumstance.

Well, I played Clarinet and sixth grade, and then switched to Oboe. It's really cool being an instrument that not alot of people play, because I'm the only one at our school. Which means I get to play first parts. Which Freshman don't do on other instruments. Most of my friends play like third parts with three or so other people, which means they don't get solos. Bwahaha.
But it also sucks cause the reeds cost so much (sometimes $20)
But yeah, I have to play another instrument at football games cause I could drop the Oboe and it could break... Which I'd like to think i'm more responsable than that (deathgrip XD), but it would really suck if that happened.

Ah, I see. 3rd parts? but yeah, last year(freshman year) I kept getting 2nd parts. But then this year I got first parts on everything. Speaking of Band, I'm auditioning for all state soon. D:

Well, 3rd parts on like Clarinets and Trumpets (and sometimes Flutes), but not every instrument... For us Mostly just Seniors get First parts when theres multiple parts.
I might try to do All state next year. One of my friends (sophomore) did it, and he said it was cool.
EDIT: Oh yeah, like one of the coolest things was I got to do a kind-of duet with one of the senior trumpet players on almost all of one of the movements of one of out songs. It was cool.
