Presea and Jukka and Kriven and I got to talking today, and we (and by that I basically mean Presea and I) concluded that a Tales version of the famous Niconico Medley would be kickass and awesome. If everyone could try and sing the entire thing (in as many clips as you like) and upload them somewhere (mediafire is nice) we could make a really cool compilation and call it the nanairo -tales side- and it'd be amazing ^___^
Reader: What's the niconico medley?
Presea: what the hell
The niconico medley is the result of a bunch of niconico douga users (the Japanese equivalent of Youtube) getting together and making a mashup of a bunch of iconic Japanese internet popular tunes and the like. I suspect 2ch was involved, in addition to alcohol. The original medley is something weird, but the one that most people know as the original is called "Nico nico douga Kumikyoku." After the release of Kumikyoku, a lot of spin-offs and remixes done in the same vein have been made. It was really very popular!
Reader: If there were so many remixes, which one are you suggesting that we made?
Presea: what the hell
The remix that we're doing is called Nico nico Nanairo, "Seven Colors." It's a much more recent release, with a lot more songs you'd probably be familiar with, and P-chan and I have both heard it before (real reason: Presea likes this one best). The version we'll be using as our reference is located here, in two parts. [1] [2] An MP3 download can be found here, which I strongly suggest getting :3 Off vocal download (hit the パソコンへ転送 button) and video with sing-a-long Japanese.

Presea: what the hell
Fear not! There are indeed lyrics to the song, in romaji, no less, so you can follow along easily without fear! Located here.
Notes: There are certain spots where they note "alternative lyrics." For the version we are singing:
12. Septette for the Dead Princess: Use version
13. Bad Apple!!: Use the alternative lyrics, starting with 'Ayumu koto sae tsukareru dake yo...'
15. Rainbow Girl: Use the Verse 1 closing, starting with 'Demo tsutaetai no...'
17. Hello Windows: Use the halyosy arrangement, starting with 'Hontou no namae mo...'
21. Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu: See "Lion."
22. Lion: This is actually sung at the same time as Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu. The left column 'Mamotta mono wa akarui mirai gensou wo / Misenagara kiete yuku hikari' goes with Miku no Shoushitsu, the right column 'Ikinokoritai, ikinokoritai, mada ikite itaku naru...' goes with Lion.
24. Nihon no Mikata -Nevada Kara Kimashita-: Use the left set of lyrics , starting with 'MI - KA - TA...'
25. Promise: AHAHAHAH GOOD LUCK (for the unaware, this is the "get down" song).
28. Otenba Koimusume: Use the Cirno Cirno Cirno lyrics, starting with 'Kimi no sono hosoi ude de...'
29. Town: See 'PoPiPo'
30. PoPiPo: Do not sing anything on the left. Only sing "Yasai / Juice ga suki ni naru."
34. smooooch・∀・: Do not sing anything.
36. Tewi! ~Eien Tewi ver.: Sing the original lyrics, starting with 'Nagaku itsumademo tsuzuita yoru.'
39. Aoku Moeru Honoo: Sing the original lyrics, starting with "Bakuhatsu da! Hanpa wa dame sa!"
40. The Regulars: Sing the original lyrics, starting with "Donna ni..."
41. Hammer Melody: Do not sing anything.
HEROES (chaos mix)
Presea: what the hell
I know this looks hellish, but it's not all that bad -- All the songs listed as sung as written. If they're next to each other, they're sung at the same time. I recommend recording each small clip separately and just sticking them together :V
44. Jihou: Looking for lyrics currently.
Reader: oh my god do i have to do this
Presea: what the hell
No, you don't, but it'd be a really fun way to show off your singing ability (or lack thereof!) and make something as a community ^ ^ We owe it to ourselves after all this time together to make something we can put our name on. ^^
Reader: Hey, the singers in these are done by guys, girls, and... weird... Japanese... things in between... What should I do?
Presea: what the hell.
Sing an octave lower, or higher, or do your best girl/boy voice. Who cares! Do whatever you think sounds good. :3
Reader: Hey, b--
Presea: WHAT THE HELL
Reader: meep :x
Please don't let that deter you from asking questions :3
