Hi, I'm not really good at these intro things.
But I'm Hikaru, I'm 18, and I like anime, computers and roleplaying...fantasy mostly. Well I used to like it.

I guess I'll get down to the basics. I myself own along with 2 others an RP forum, and we lack roleplayers as members. But please don't yell at, I'm not advertising I'm giving that as part of the basics why I'm here (not to advertise).
So anyways yes, we lack members. And I get blamed for it partly, If the RPs don't live and always die of course no one will stay, and part of that is my fault when my friends and fellow admins make me join their RPs.

Basically, I've lost any RP skill I ever had. I used to be in with the "Masters" I guess. But I've come into a spot of denial. I see others better then I am, and I can't RP, I can't post, I don't want to look stupid with my posts compared to them, and I don't want to copy them.
I can RP, I know the basics, however I lack structure. I can't tie sentences in with one another very well, I can give an example if anyone needs it.... And because that bad structure, I can't detail anything without messing up the whole paragraph. I know what I want to put, but I can't type it write without looking lame. And that has led to complete denial and inability to ever post.

I come here from RPGC, I looked all over that site and other site ads for a place that teaches RPing, and I found this site and your writing teaching. I don't know if it's full roleplay or all of writing I need to learn, even the basics. But if you do teach, I hope I can learn from you, to solve this problem, or I may never RP again...

RP forums are very hard to maintain, yep :V I've very rarely seen them live very long. Meep. Yep. Not your fault.

I do see what you mean by bad sentence structure ._.; It's not bad writing, it's a wandering mind: you seem to either be in a hurry or writing as thoughts hit you and just dropping them down. Slow down and re-read whatever you write out loud. Missing things have a way of being a little clearer when you think like that. Mew.

Also, uhm, I'm not sure which RP's are open currently, nya. Say something in the chatbox, people usually pay attention to that.

Why, hello there! If you're searching for someplace that will teach you how to roleplay, I'd say that you have come to the right place. I'm not trying to sound pompous or anything, but I would consider myself a decent roleplayer. I've administrated many, many roleplaying sites, and have even taught beginners the mechanisms of roleplaying.

I'm an RPGC member as well... granted, that's pretty obvious since I'm the one who advertised this site on there. Anyway! Just by looking at your writing, I can tell that you have potential. If you're looking to improve your writing in general, I highly recommend joining up at Words of a Heart because its sole purpose is the help others with writing of all sorts. It's still a new site that I'm trying to get off the ground, but you were most welcome to post there, and I'll see what I can do to help.

Oh thank you! I signed up on that site right away and posted a help request topic, I hope I did it right..... Writing is basically what I need going back to the basics and learning structure right. I'll be sure to stick around both these sites. I hope I can improve.

I think one step you need to take in getting into RPing again is to just not be afraid of what other people will think of your RP posts. You shouldn't be worried that they'll think they're bad or lame, and you shouldn't worry that other people are better than you. Have some more self-confidence. :3

If you wanted to join an RP here I recently started one in the Trainee section. If you're interested in joining I'm sure something could be worked out. ^^

Fear of RP-ing? Why the FSCK should you have that? As long as you can form a competant sentence, which you have proved rather thoroughly, you can RP. And I'll hand you this: You'll probably be better than I am. (I'm ranging, though I average on Adept. See my ascension exam, and that's me being serious.)

I'm the visage of the past most tend to ignore, Omio. If you want old-school, that's what I'm around for. Something tells me I'll probably never be able to become new-school, but that's something I don't precisely care about. I'm more the ancient type, y'know what I mean?
