Thread roleplays are the ones in which there is only a single thread involved and everyone interacts within it.
Whole site roleplays are ones in which the entire site is a world and players can post in different boards to indicate destination.
Which one do you prefer?
And then... discussion? Why? Pros? Cons? Talk to us.

Hmm, I have no preference. The thread roleplays bring everyone together, and the site ones give you more flexibility. :3 I like both.

Jaharaah's activity is drained. x.X; I'm not sure of what the site's future is going to be to be honest.
I do like whole site roleplays a lot, mainly because of the organization and variety it provides.

Thread roleplays. They just seem more held together and easier to keep track of.

But they're so fun

I don't think that staying active is necessarily the problem. It just hurts more when they die, 'cause they take so much more work than thread RPs. ^-^;; From my experience, thread RPs die pretty often too.

Site RPs are <3. XD I like them particularly because they allow for major character development.

I like full site RPs. Don't have a good reason, just do.

Even though whole site RP's are pretty awesome, it seems like it would be a lot harder to create and a lot harder to keep active. Thread RP's you can do with like 2-3 people. but thread ones aren't as fun.
i'll say both have advantages and disadvantages.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I loved Jaharaah (as an example of a site RPG) because it gives a more accurate sense of a huge world. More people can also take part in a forum RP. This can be both a good and a bad thing as it can get to the point where you don't know what's going on and you can loose track of who's who.
As for character development, I have seen great character development in both thread RPs, site RPs, and even MMO RPs (which is very different because you have to think more on your feet and have less space to talk/act to boot). But I admit that site RPs, since they tend to be more large scale, have more opportunities for character development.
random tidbit: What I wish I can do more: Table Top-esque RPs. They're quite a bit more difficult since you have a lot less time to think out what your character will do, you just have to act and respond to what scenarios are happening around you.
