A serious topic, your thoughts are appreciated!

My (required) writing and rhetoric class this year is about fandoms and fan culture/behavior in general, so I'm writing a research paper about DLC and how it's going to impact the gaming industry.

I'd appreciate it if some of you guys as fellow gamers would be able to tell me your opinions on DLC for me to cite and use as a few some of my primary sources, as you are some of my oldest gaming friends!

Just a few sentences would be perfect - what are your thoughts on the concept of DLC? Do you love it? Hate it? Have you bought any before? Any thoughts on companies that release day one DLC? How do you feel about the current pricing of DLC? Just things like that.

I personally caved and bought my first DLC over winter break for Theatrhythm because who can say no to We Have Arrived and Somnus?!??!??!?!

I've bought some DLC before

The kind of DLC that adds minor fun things, like holiday-themed quests or cosmetic changes, are a nice addition. There's also the DLC that's just there to make the game easier by giving power-ups. That's fine by me, but not something I'm interested in.

The kind of DLC that bothers me is the stuff that cuts off game elements or characters entirely until you buy them. Those just feel like money grabs.

The only game I've played lately is SSBB and an otome game called Be My Princess. I KNOW. I'M A DISGRACE.

it's okay Ari and I was actually playing that be my princess game last year too WEIRD (I think last summer wOW TIME FLIES)

until I realized that you need to get all these royal factors to keep continuing with the story and I had been slacking on that and was too lazy to get any more so I deleted it from my phone

I downloaded you to date fictional men not to socialize with other girls in order to gain points to date fictional men stop
