I do believe it's spelled "console", although I could be wrong.

As of right now, this very second? Gamecube. Why? Probably because there's not a whole lot of wii games out yet that interest me, and the gamecube brought me the whole Resident Evil series, Wind Waker, Eternal Darkness, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Gladius, and countless others.
In time though, it'll really be a battle between gamecube and wii I'm sure.

I say wii, cause I have RE4 Wii Edition (This is the best game ever. completely kills the gamecube version) and SSBB.

I would. Unless you've gotten absolutely everything. I played the Gamecube one and beat it first. Then I got the Wii edition.
List of new things in Wii edition (that I can think of):
Point and shooting (way awesome)
Gangster Leon and Armor Ashley outfit
P.R.L. 412 (Plagas Removal Lazer)
Seperate ways:
-Bowgun
-Different shotgun
-Fight Sadler in Human form
-New scenes
-New areas
and probably more, idk.
