I started reading this series recently and I know I'm not the target audience but it's so good(Even if there are typos everywhere). I dunno why I didn't check it out sooner. So go read this series, you'll enjoy it.

Warning: That shit gets REALLY INTENSE. I read that when I was part of the target audience. Crazy stuff. But I did enjoy most of it.
In retrospect, it's kind of messed up that it reached crazy levels when you take into account the target audience.

I had the whole series when I was in sixth grade. I had the whole series twice. Plus some hardcovers. Plus hardcover special novellas... And then I hit seventh grade and decided to sell it. Oh, how I regret what I've done 3:

I have finished the series, and it was great.
I loath how it ended with a cliffhanger though.

I read part of the series way-back when. After awhile I got bored with it 'cause it felt like the same story over and over again just with some minor detail changes. From what f0n9-kun said I think I was halfway through when I quit. It was shortly after that 3 book story arc involving creating a new member and him being an idiotic douche.

I liked that arc too, it was interesting since it was more trouble from within than the standard Yeerk (sp? It's been a long awhile XD) or other alien fight of the month. I also liked I think it was the one right after it which you found out about who Tobias's dad was.

It was only one book XD It starts with people at the school asking about him 'cause apparently they found a cousin of his that supposedly wanted to take him away from the dead beats he's been with. There was also a letter from his real father that was to be read to him on his birthday, the name being one that everyone who's read the series would be familiar with (although I can't remember how to spell it for the life of me right now).
Then again I also always liked Tobias so his books I think I tend to remember more...

I knew who Tobias's dad was from the beginning because the first book I read was The Andalite Chronicles I haven't read all of those, I think I only got my hands on the first one from that spinoff. I also got the first two of the "bigger" books that goes back and forth between the characters. |
