I used everyone a lot of the characters a little bit, resulting in like only 2-3 characters to get to 20/20. Well, that happened in FE7 anyway(my first FE). In FE8, skirmishes remedied that, and in FE9, I learned a little bit, but I still just boosted a bunch of units to 20/20 with BEXP.

I usually pick a group of 14 or so and stick with them, and all of them reach 20/20 really fast. Then I can just let Soren/whoever I love most loose. =D
RD was a different story, though, I had to train like 20 people. >.>

The Dawn Brigade is proving to be worse than the Greil Mercenaries(Or really, shouldn't they be called the Ike Mercenaries now?)

The only person from the DB I actually use during endgame (not including the required units) is Edward. >.>;;
Also, Laura is a pain to train.

Psh, Laura is easily replaceable with Rhys or Mist.

When I play FE I pick 12-14 chars that are made of pure awesomness and watch them get to level 20/20 really early and dominate everything =D

I try out all the characters a little bit, with a few exceptions. If they fail me, they're dropped, if they're awesome, they're kept, if they're in the middle- I wait for them to class up before I decide to drop/keep them. >_>

I guess so. As I said earlier in FE7, I was stupid and only had 2-3 people at 20/20 because it was my first time playing an FE game and I was being stupid. In PoR, I was actually able to get most units I used in my final party to 20/20 even without boosting them up with BEXP except for Mist and Reyson. I wasn't sure about Mia and Ilyana, after they classed up around the same time as Soren and Zihark, who had better stats, I dropped them. I dropped Astrid after promotion too in favor of other units. I dropped Lethe after realizing Laguz are not that great. Bajebus, I dropped a lot of people really late.

I don't think I ever used more than one anything for my final party besides paladins. Yeah, paladins are the only units I've consistently used more than one of. I used multiple Falcon Knights in FE7, but FE8 I only used Tana, and Tanith disgusted me as a prepromote. >_>

I usually never use propromotes, exception being RD.
And I love my cat, hawk, and wolf laguzies. <3
Regarding Laura, Rhys, and Mist, I typically drop all of them once my sages reach third tier.
