I never really understood affinities. <.<

Yeah Oscar and Ike's support bonus was awesome..but at Endgame, my Oscar still couldn't take down half the enemies in one turn. -_- Like..if he attacked an enemy..it would still be living. Gah, it sucked.

That's how Oscar was during my first PoR playthrough. Oscar was fast, could dodge anything, had good defense and resistance... but he had no attack.

I never really understood affinities. <.< Affinities change the support bonuses. Like earth gives you avoid, heaven gives you hit, light gives you some defense and hit, and stuff like that. :> I liked the bands in PoR. I could max out so many things for characters with them.

XD Really? I had no idea. I just assumed they were there for no important reason.
The bands weren't really useful for me. >.> I only used them to increase things which I wanted increased. Like when Mist failed [still ended up failing], I gave her the warrior band and she got strength. XD

I never really saw significant improvement when I used the bands. O.o

I don't know which affinities do what, I just knew that they gave different support bonuses. On topic of bands, I've only gotten like 2 chapters into my second PoR playthrough. Which I will probably never finish unless I feel like getting all the supports.

=O I gave Sothe different bands at different times and he maxed everything.
I did the same thing with Soren and Ilyana. And Oscar, and Rolf, and... everyone I used. ._. I miss the bands.

Laguz seem just less useful overall in this game. My Volug was really good for some reason, though. I love his supports. "...Hey. You ever wonder what would happen if I just ate everyone we fought? Would the rest keep fighting?" My kind of thinking right there. =D "You know how hard it is to be this charming when you never say anything? You should try it. It's hard." XD

Volug is one of those sexy, quiet guys. xD
I do like Ranulf although I don't like the Half-shift thing as much as the demi bands. I mean, he's gotten killed several times because I toss him out there and then he's attacked too many times and he shifts back. >.> It's not as useful as it seems.

I saw that option once in one of the chapters where Ranulf is forced...what is half shift? O.o

It's what Volug does. XD That skill where he can shift an anytime but his EXP is decreased. I'm thinking there are more disadvantages though since Ranulf FAILED when I equipped him with it while he was pwnage before. x.x
EDIT: I found out what's up. When half-shifting takes place, a laguz's stats are multiplied by 1.5 and not 2. >.>

Ooh. That would explain it. I still never used laguz in RD so I wouldn't really know >.<
