Most Meaningful Character?

You know those characters who you absolutely adore? Those characters you fall in love with? Those characters who provide inspiration? Those characters who you can't keep your mind off of while writing or doing something artful? Those characters you wish you could meet in person? Yeah, those characters.

What characters do you feel fit such a description? Although this is the anime forum, you don't have to limit your character of choice to simply anime. I just figured that many people would go with it. I welcome fictional characters from all walks of life, including video games, TV shows, movies, books, writing, etc. As long as that character is inspiration or feels personal to you, then feel free to explain him/her.

Please elaborate.

Personally, before I go off on a tangent, one of my absolute favorite characters is Suichi Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho (quite obviously). I don't watch anime all that often but when I do find one that I really like, I get seriously attached to the characters. XD; Kurama is one of the most intelligent characters I know, and I adore his personality. He is both wise and kind, which is a major reason why I like him. <3 Kurama has two personas inside of him; one which is the 300 year old Yoko Kurama, who was a ruthless demon. He was reincarnated into Suichi Kurama, the kinder half of the current Kurama, and he constantly fights with himself about his past and present.


He's also really handsome, which is always a plus aside from the fact that he has an awesome personality. XD; If you click here you will find an AMV on Youtube which I find describes Kurama very well. It's nicely done and it provides a good overview of his purpose in the anime. Even the song fits him since he can manipulate plants... his signature weapon is the rose whip, something his creates from a simple rose. ...hah, I like slightly feminine guys.

No, but how much Ed cares about his brother and family is something I thought was really touching... Like first of all how he sacrificed his arm to save Al from death, and how now they're journeying to find the Philosopher's Stone and bring it all back. He loves his brother so much, and their bond is really strong. :>

Ed has a silly exploding temper that makes me laugh. Ed is really short, and that makes me laugh. However, he is still taller than me, and that makes me laugh. Ed doesn't realize he loves Winry, which makes me laugh. (=D)

My serious mood has died. I dunno, I think Ed is a character that people can connect to. And he's a cute bean. And he has a kickass seiyuu.

After watching the first four episodes of Lucky Star, I'm gonna have to say Konata. Why? Because she's pretty much what I'd be if I were a girl. She crams her schoolwork, and stays up all night because she's busy with gaming and anime. What is there to complain about?!
