Most of them are, but there are a few exceptions. Once a player successfully beats the game they get a choice to be a Reaper if they want, so I'd guess that people who say yes would want to torment others. :>
Some get suckered into it against their will, though. They can be reluctant about it. Reapers can be demoted back to players (or erased) if they don't do their job and erase other players.

Players can also become Angels if they beat the game but the idea of angels isn't needed to understand the game.

If Ari still wants to join she can be a reaper and pop up, or if she really wants to be a player (I doubt we'll get so far that we'll get past a day >.>) then I (or someone else) can make another player so that she has a partner. =D
