Some of you may have heards that I'm replaying the KH series. If you did, you also heard that it has inspired my Fan Fic side to start writing FanFic's again. And here I present, Fate of Stars, starring original and Nintendo characters. You will notice some unastounding similarities to Kingdom Hearts.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The city was alive with noise and light and movement. Cars busily drove amongst a forest of buildings. The sidewalk was already busy with pedestrians heading to their day jobs. Pidgeons sat atop electrical wires and buildin ledges. And behind it all, casting a warm orange light that made the entire city shine, was the rising sun, peeking out from behind the distant mountains.
Amongst all the busy, soaking in the sun's warm glow was a boy seventeen years of age. As he brushed his brown bangs away from his blue eyes and smiled in the dawn of the new day, he was unaware that he would make an encounter which would forever change his destiny. He didn't look at all like someone who would find themselves on a grand quest. His t-shirt was white, with an image of two dragons spiraling and twisting around each other. One dragon was red and the other was blue. This shirt was beneath an ubuttoned orange t-shirt, with the same dragon image on the back, the only difference between the two being the coloring, this one was all black, leaving the dragons indistinguished. He wore a pair of tan pants with many pockets. The paints were a size too large, and clustered into folds near the boys black and white shoes. On the toe of each shoe was a red mushroom insignia.
The boy continued on his way, humming a light tune to himself. The city was truly earning it's name on this day; people called it "The City of Blissful Morning." The blissful city was completely unaware of just how drastically it would change.
An oddly clothed man appeared from around a corner. His face was blocked by a navy colored scarf and a heavy, black trench coat covered the rest of the man's body. He moved quickly and deliberately in the direction opposite the boy. As they passed, a wave of unease splashed over the boy, and he stopped his humming. Something clinked along the ground and when the boy looked down he saw a silver bar, reflecting orange in the sun's light. He assumed the man had dropped it, but when he turned to return the object the man was no longer there.
Before he had time to think about more, he heard his name being called; "Sage! Sage! Over here!" Sage spun around and saw his two friends Sky and Rook waving to him. They were further up the street, and so Sage hurried over to meet them. He shoved the silver ball into his pocket, thinking about it sent a cold chill down his spine and made him shudder in memory of the odd man. He greeted his two friends as he caught up to them.
Sky was a skinny girl with purple eyes and an odd taste in self-designed clothing. Today she wore knee-high boots of a darker pruple then her bright eyes. The botts were wrapped in dark, almost black, belts each with a gold buckle. She wore gloves that matched her boots in color. The gloves were cut-off at the fingers, and ended at the wrist. However she seemed to have cut the sleeve of her other clothings in half, attatching the lower half to the inside of the glove. This sleeve which extended halfway past her elbow was a lighter purple then her boots and was decorated with white stripes. She wore a vest of dark purple, like her gloves and boots. The vest had silver zippers and seams. Her shirt matched her halved sleeve, a lighter purple with horizontal white stripes. Her denim skirt more closely matched her boots, being of the same dark purple. Her blond hair seemed to be gold amongst the purples she wore.
Rook was a heavier boy with dark brown hair and green eyes. He wore nothing fancy, a red t-shirt with white sleeves and a pair of blue denim shorts. His sneakers were white and red, like his shirt. The one unique item he seemed to be wearing was the blue bandana he wore around his neck. He also wore a silver watch on his left wrist. His hair seemed to spike upwards slightly, before coming downward, creating an odd bend.
"We're going to be late." Rook stated, glancing at his silver watch.
"Let's hurry up then!" Sky shouted, her voice carrying it's optimistic tone. She rushed up the street and around the corner.
Sage nodded to Rook, and they both raced after their friend. They caught up with her before long, and the group rounded one final corner before they found themselves staring at the large school building. It was made of red brick and was very tall. Black gates surrounded the school grounds, preventing trespassers from entering during the night. The three spotted their favorite teacher, Mr. Rain.
Mr. Rain was a tall man, standing a head taller then most people. He was neither skinny nor large, resting in the middle with developed muscles but not enough to be considered a stronger man. His black hair was long for that of teachers, with his bangs resting just below his eyebrows. He wore a black suit with a white shirt and black tie.
"Good morning Mr. Rain!" Sky shouted over to the teacher, waving excitedly.
Mr. Rain turned around and smiled as he walked over towards the students, "Good morning Sky. You too Sage and Rook!"
Rook and Sage greeted their teacher as he made his way over. Then there was an odd scraping noise behind them. The two turned around to see an odd creature on the ground. The creature resembled a beetle with a dark blue shell and black face. Yellow antennae sprouted from the creatures head. It was very odd, and seemed more mechanical then biological with treadmill-style wheels acting as legs. Yellow hooks extended from beneath the creature's head, each ending with a deadly sharp point.
Without warning the creature was in the air, and slashing wildly with it's pincers. From behind them they heard one word; "MOVE!" and instantly Sage and Rook shuffled to the sides, Mr. Rain himself leaping between the two, with his leg extended. His foot smashed into the beetle, and sent it rocketing back towards the street where it crumpled like a soda can. Mr. Rain landed on both feet. Before he could relax more of the beetles crawled up from the ground, ascending out of odd multi-colored holes in the surface that vanished once the creature had climbed out.
Before anyone else could react, however, there was an explosion in the school. The four turned around as the heard the loud noise an explosion makes. Warmth licked at their skin, and just as it faded away there was another explosion in a nearby building. Suddenly Sage felt the ground beneath his feet disappear. He was weightless, then everything was black...
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"It is time." These were the words written on the paper letter in the plumbers gloved hands. Of course he knew what they meant. He took a brief moment to adjust the location of his red cap, and then, without hesitation, he ran off. Not even bothering to close the wooden door to his home behind him.
