It's just that it helps with a lot of retconning posts and disparities between the portrayals of characters by different people. In an RP where everyone knows all the characters really well, like in Mission 4 (if anyone remembers) it's easier to do because people know what kind of reaction the other person's character will have. It's a lot harder to achieve continuity with unfamiliar faces =/

Thanks; this is much appreciated. ^-^ I think that you assume that roleplaying seems scattered because it doesn't read like a novel should but, in reality, roleplaying and novel-writing are completely different forms of expression. Yes, they're both forms of writing but I'm inclined to think the roleplaying is more for character and plot development as opposed to readability like you would find in a book.

Maybe I'll just condense the story into a novel form when we're done! >=D Or I'll concoct a machine that allows us to read each others' minds for character details!
Edit: Everyone just ignore or work around Aleu's post right now. Sorry that I'm making us go through this! ='(

XD I consider co-writing and roleplaying completely different things.
For novels, co-writing is much more appropriate because characters are shared or at least discussed to a degree so that the authors know what will happen and how to write each section.
Roleplaying is more unpredictable, where a plotline is developed between multiple authors and their characters while they write.
EDIT: I can delete them for you.

Condensing them into a novel might be fun afterwards

It'd take a lot of condensing.
