But omfg. It was AMAZING.
Anyone else read this?

I haven't read it, but I helped a friend of mine make a game about it for a school project. I may look into it after I finish the series I'm currently reading.

But the summaries do this book no justice... heck, I was bored to death by them. XD
I'll try though:
Basically, this book takes place in the "future" probably what we would consider to be now but since Ender's Game was written a while ago... well, just use your imaginations.
The earth is being attacked by Buggers, essentially aliens, and no one is sure how to save it. Thus, the government has taken it into their hands to search for the best of the best, the one military genius who can command the armies to destroy the buggers once and for all. They have selected certain children and planted what they call monitors into their necks. These monitors detect emotions and thoughts, which allows scientists and testers to understand exactly what is going on in each child's mind as they deal with life's situations.
There's a bit of suspicion in the first chapter about whether Ender is chosen or not but I don't think it's much of a spoiler 'cause it's obvious that he's chosen. >.> When children are chosen, they are sent to a school for most of their young lives in space where they are educated and trained. From there, they are pitted against many games and tests, all of which are monitored carefully. Ender faces some of the most challenging tasks of his life there.
Meanwhile, his brother Peter [who has the soul of a jackal] and his sister Valentine [who is absolute <3] perform their own operations to "save the world" on earth. It is said that they have the same abilities as Ender; the only vary in their emotions and feelings. [Peter's a devil and Valentine's much to empathetic.] Ender was the balance between the two.

I read it twice. And I read the short story. And one of the sequels (Shadow Puppets). And maybe Speaker for the Dead if my brother ever finds it. >.>

I've read Ender's Game as well, and it's really really good.

There's like a million billion sequels. I think Ender's Game was rewritten from a short story to a novel for the purpose of serving as a prequel to Speaker of the Dead.
On the back of a Futurama DVD, on the bottom there were a bunch of little titles for something or other that I can't remember, and one of them was Bender's Game. xD

Did anyone else's jaw drop right open when you discovered that the entire game was the bugger war? XD

A wonderful series, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has yet to read it. I've read Ender's Game, as well as all of the sequels.
Ender's Game Speaker for the Dead Xenocide Children of the Mind
Also, there's another set of sequels, starting with a retelling of Ender's Game from the character Bean's point of view:
Ender's Shadow Shadow of the Hegemon Shadow Puppets Shadow of the Giant
SPOILER REPLY
Yeah, I think that part gets everyone XD I convinced one of my sisters to read it, and she conveyed a similar feeling toward that particular part. She said something along the lines of... "That was amazing! That entire time, that whole thing..."
