Description: This is an art contest.. a drawing and character design art contest. The winner will get to be the character designer for Kanon, the first game by Sabertooth Entertainment. In this contest you will be designing the main hero of the action/puzzle game, Kanon! Like with official concept artists, there are some rules you must follow:
1) Preferebly in color, though black and white is alright.
2) The cleaner the image the better, try to eliminate sketch marks.
You are designing Kanon, the protagonist. He should be a rather cartoony character with a design based off a living cannon. I always imaginged him as a black ball with a Birdo-like snout from which he blasts cannonballs. Though your interpretation is entirely up to you. Make sure, however, that he does have arms and legs of sorts. He should not have eyes, but if you think they'll look nice on him then so be it.
Remember if you win, you will be asked to also draw concept art for the bosses of the game, so it's a bit of a double-edged sword.
Due Date: All submissions should be entered by July 21st.
