The ACT is a lot less popular on the eastern and western states including Alaska and Hawaii, but a lot more popular in the middle states. And according to my friend, Japanese schools don't like the SAT. Does anyone know if I still need SAT IIs if I take the ACT?

It depends on the college. The higher-up universities usually suggest you to take a number of SAT IIs to narrow down their application process but some colleges don't care if you've taken them or not.

It's all the same, anything related to applying to college = crap.

Haha, that's totally true. Though I must admit, some crap is better than others.

I just want all of it to be done, I've developed an unhealthy early case of senioritis.

Sometimes I wonder if all this suffering and misery is worth it.

Oh Busan, you're so not.
When you think about it, it's totally true though. Even from a logical standpoint, you really don't need to do all that well in highschool. Just do decently, get into a decent college (it doesn't even have to be a well-known university) and then apply for whatever school you want to get into afterwards. You actually have a better chance getting into med school at a state university than a private college because a) there's less competition and b) the material isn't necessarily as strenuous.

I know that, but, there's still the name value when you apply for jobs. Although that's really for grad school, undergrad doesn't really matter because you can get into any grad school with a good GPA and test scores.

Name value is so over-rated. >.> Once you get into grad school, all you have to do is pass. XD

It's how the system works. Class ranking is a plus you can put on your resume. But I'll probably be too busy trying to pass to care about that.
