Agreed!! I told my white friend this once, and he seemed genuinely offended, but I stand by my convictions. X3 With that said, I do like broccoli. All preparations. I looooooove broccoli -- I actually really enjoy steamed broccoli with mozzarella cheese or steamed broccoli with some salt and lemon juice. Noooooooooom. However, my mom's asian styled broccoli is still 100 times better -- she cooks it in oyster sauce. nom nom nom.

Brian was wondering "wth" when I cracked up at your post Aleu XD I need to get more Asian sauces, I love dishes with oyster sauce (it's actually one of the ones I always pick at when doing Mongolian grill type places).
Other news... I lost 4 lbs this week! XD 8 down 42 to go!

Another update. I've lost about 15 pounds now. For a long time I was gaining and loosing the same 2-3 pounds which was annoying the hell out of me but finally got out of it. I'm pretty sure I just need to work on exercising more as it's still the thing that I'm less consistent on. That and be careful on the days I'm not eating at home. Brian and I go out to friends' places a couple times a week so it's more portion control than eating eating healthy those days (but one of them is diabetic so it's still healthyish anyway but then there's the problem of them offering dessert...) The My Fitness Pal site is very good and figuring out what calories I'm taking in. I'll be finally trying out the recipe you posted Ari tomorrow XD. Finally got all the stuff together. Veggies are going to be from a slaw type mix (without sauce of course) 'cause I'm lazy and really don't want to deal with trying to cut veggies as small as in that picture ^-^U And the cooking of the eggs and keeping it in one piece will be a challenge but if I fail that just means scrambled eggs on top instead of strips of eggs Edit: So I'm doing some of the stuff with the peanut sauce and the chicken tonight so I don't have to deal with it tomorrow after I donate plasma and feel all exhausted afterwards... I think I made WAY too much sauce D: So Brian and I might be eating this for awhile... it does taste good though.

Oh! :'D Sorry for the late response! That's awesome, Shiori! I'm really happy for you! 15 pounds is a great milestone, I think. Losing weight gets a little harder from there, but I know you can do it. Let me know if you need any encouragement or any other ideas. I'm glad you like the noodles btw!

yes the noodles are very very yummy. I added some spices to the sauce to give it a little kick but other than that followed your recipe. The only thing I'm worried about is the calorie content of the sauce 'cause of the pb... but it's yummy, it's different from what I've had before and is still healthy. Still need to figure out a good water/PB ratio 'cause by the time I'm done and have the sauce chilled a little bit it's too thick XD but we'll see how well it goes tonight (it's for dinner tonight ) Yeah 15 lbs is good, definitely need to loose more but I'm of the mindset, slow and steady wins the race, 'cause as a friend of mine said, I don't want to "find" the weight that I lost in the future. I really should take a few pictures so I have a before and after thing.... and a way to get said pictures on the computer

Ahahahah. Yeah, it might be a little on the calorie-full side, but there are worse things. XD I usually only use a quarter cup of water, I think... and it's normal for the chilled sauce to be a little thicker. :'D That's what happens to me. If it bothers you, maybe try adding a bit more water and soy sauce? Lemme think of more healthy options... generally, when I want to lose weight, my mom tries to cook me filling, but not fattening sorts of foods. Try your favorite sort of fish, cooked with only a bit of salt and lemon juice. ...I could be wrong, but I think my mom uses the microwave, and it turns out really well. We also eat a lot of vegetables -- anything cooked in a wok with a splash of vegetable oil and garlic and salt. Keep on going! Slow and steady is definitely the healthy way to go.
