One of my favorite times of the year is finally here again. I haven't kept up with it too much yet, but I've seen some stuff on Halo 4, CoD Modern Warfare 3, and Prototype 2. I'm sure I'll be back to this thread often, ranting about cool stuff going on.

Oh man, Microsoft's conference was absolutely awful. Couldn't bring myself to watch the whole thing.

I didn't see anything from Microsoft besides Halo 4, which I'll undoubtedly buy the most expensive version of. I always end up doing that... I'm watching Sony right now though and saw almost all of Ubisoft earlier. PSVita looks kinda neat.

So today was an extremely busy day but with the one hour at home I had I watched Nintendo's conference. Decently impressive showing in my opinion. First off, the 3DS games they showed look really good. The little tweaks to Star Fox 64 make me want it a lot, Mario Kart actually looks pretty sweet (donno how the gliding will work out but going underwater looks neat), Kid Icarus looks AMAZING but I heard something about card battling or something? Idk I gotta look into it more. Luigi's Mansion 2 could be fun. The Mario game... it looks good, but it looks really really slow to me for some reason. We'll see what happens.
Wii U... eh, honestly, it all depends on the utilization. We could have millions of stupid third-party Wii Sports clones (and probably will), but there's some innovative stuff that can be done with it. Miyamoto always finds fun ways to use Nintendo's weird technology so I'm pretty hopeful.
SMASH BROS FOR 3DS AND WII U YUS
Also Mario Party 9. Mario Party 8 is a game I play almost every time I have friends over, and those maps are getting a bit old, so I'm pumped.
Overall I think Nintendo had the most exciting conference, Sony had a decent one, and Microsoft... well, they pretty much just got the word about Halo 4 out there and that's it. Ubisoft was okay too, I guess.

Maybe 13-2 will actually be more than just walking North?
I really don't think the Wii U's gimick is going to be fun.

There's supposed to be towns in it (and moogles which is a plus), but I'm still not going to buy it. Maybe rent it.
The name "Wii U" still makes me laugh. :< WE YOU!

Apparently the moogle transforms into a crossbow or something crazy. I still haven't played the first XIII (which is a weird sentence. i.e. I didn't play the first XIII game, not the first XIII games of the series). I'm semi-excited for Wii U. When they first introduced it I was kinda bleh about it but after digesting it a little, I look forward to seeing what cool things the creative people can do with it (not the cash-in game creators that plagued the first Wii). All I know is I'm going poor because I want a Vita, 3DS, and a Wii U. Maybe even a Kinect if this Star Wars game is any good. Need moar currency.
