If they're not that close to you I don't think they mean it too seriously.
I think that they said it so they wouldn't have to have been all corny and said something along the lines of, "You're an amazing person. You're a great friend and I'm very glad I met you." Unless they already stated that, I think that that's probably what they meant by it.

...with the exception of Sharkface, they pretty much already stated that. ^-^;;; And then they topped the cheesiness off with "I love you."
You guys confuse me.

Then I'd say they really value your frienship more than you thought. Or maybe they're just more emotional than most guys.

Haha, that's funny. XD They're not emotional. I guess that just leaves the former then.

Well, some guys can be emotional when the time calls for it, even if they never act emotional otherwise.

Or maybe Ari is secretly really popular, and just oblivious to it.

Popularity is over-rated.

Popularity isn't something entirely in your control- so it is possible for you to be unaware of it. And that doesn't make it a bad thing.

True but I still doubt it. XD

Well, with some of my friends i'll say "I love you" just to see what they'll say/do. Especially my friends who are guys. but that's probably cause we're immature.
But in that context, i'd say that it's maybe a way to say "You're a really great friend" or something like that without sounding corny and while also being slightly funny.
If I wrote something (to one of my friends who are ladies that I didn't actually"love") like that that's how it would be.
Or they actually love you. XD

Funny thing is that one of those guys came up to me during Taekwondo and gave me a hug. We probably wouldn't be able to talk to each other at graduation anyway so it was like a "goodbye" hug, and he said, "Stephanie, I love you!" It was so cute; I wanted to cry though since I probably wouldn't talk to him until we get together next year for our graduation Taekwondo extravaganzas. I'm pretty sure that he just means "love" as a friend sort of thing. XD
And as for that last part, the weird thing is that with Sharkface, our friends (and our teachers too, goshdarnit) have been trying to set us up for the past few months. It's sad 'cause he already has a girlfriend so they're always musing about how he and his girlfriend should break up. >.>; I think that they make a great couple though so I'm always sweatdropping when I hear their plans. ^-^;;;
