For those who want something more competitive, check out the contest section since we have a writing contest in session!

I am convinced that Tales Collection is pretty much complete, although there are still some minor things I may want to add or fix. Meanwhile, members are free to advertise and flock in at their own leisure. ^-^

None. I have a rather severe inability to create plotlines of major sorts, without being severely cheesy in some way.

It was dawn... the sun had just began to rise above the mountainous horizon in the east. Arrays of color spread out across the sky, as if an artist's paintbrush had claimed the heavens as his landscape. Small peeps from early risers could be heard, the birds singing soft melodies to each other from atop the many branches of the trees. A gentle wind grazed above the treetops, blowing the changing leaves to and fro. The leaves which had browned and fallen scattered in the breeze, helpless to where the draft would take them. Dark boots tread the land in a rhythmic motion. Vierka glanced at the rising sun and smiled-- it was peaceful to see such things in the midst of all of her worries. When she looked at nature, it seemed to wash her pondering away and fill her with some sort of idle joy. Ignorance was bliss after all. If she didn't realize or remember something, she wouldn't think about it. The earth was moist and soft, seeing as it had just rained the night before. Niakru seemed to like this, despite the fact that Vierka would just have to clean his paws later from the mud that gathered on his fur.

She yawned, settling down on a path of green moss to see what she could eat. Her stomach rumbled hungrily as she opened the lunch cloth. Vierka pulled out a small amount of berries which she eagerly popped into her mouth. Their sweet juices filled her and made her smile. Niakru barked in the distance and the half-elf packed her things away. Usually, Niakru only barked when he had found something-- namely food. She hoisted everything onto her back again before trotting toward the direction from which Niakru's voice came from. He barked once more, running back to his companion and tugging at her shorts with his teeth. "Calm down there, Niakru," Vierka replied in a pleasant tone. "Let's see what you've found." The Half-elf brushed a few tree branches aside to reveal...
((And have a ball with it...))
Response to the prompt:
...Len. Sure, he might look a bit feeble, at first, but considering the fact he was merely practicing his jumping, one would surely think otherwise, especially if they saw him jumping up about three feet - maybe more - and grabbing onto a branch. After grabbing onto the branch, he would soon pull himself up to the point where his hips were level with the said branch, and then he would hang once again, soon dropping.

Once he landed, he got ready to jump, and caught a foreign whiff, soon turning around to see another being. This had startled him, at first, and he stepped back. However, he wasn't hostile, as he saw a rather curious expression on the... ...male, or female? He couldn't tell because so little of the face had been revealed, and the rest of the body was still covered; he could see boots, but he didn't have enough of a sense of fashion to tell if the person standing there was male or female.

Despite being unable to tell (or perhaps due to it), Len stuttered slightly, as he finally began to speak. "H-hello..." He was somewhere between scared and curious, though a bit closer to scared. He had little to defend himself with, at the moment. What Firedust he had would only destroy the forest, and probably be of no use.

Oh, about Firedust... Firedust is a kind of powder that, when brushed with each other and oxygen forcibly enough, soon bursts into flames. Someone carrying it would have to be careful not to get that area moving too quick. It could take an impact; but to condense, and then rapidly expand could cause it to ignite, if the opening is even slightly loose. Len wasn't stupid enough to tie his small pouch semi-loosely.

W-who is this person? How did she find me when I've only been training for a short time? It's not as if my landing is that loud... ...is it? His train of thought, in comparison to the landscape, was a polar opposite. There were the beautiful bits, yeah, but one would have to search long and hard for them, whereas with the landscape, as it was now, one would have to search for dull and boring parts.

(( Any longer, and it'd be boring. ))

I'll be frank: while your writing itself is fair (meaning that there are no major conventional or developmental errors), I am familiar your roleplaying past on the old Tales. The issue there came with the fact that you lacked the ability to work with other people, which is the basic formula of roleplaying. I will accept you as an Honors roleplayer for now, but remember to heed your interaction with other roleplayers. That is all.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take heed to it, and take to things a bit more fluently. It may make jump-ins a bit more difficult, but thanks for showing me my flaws; old or not.

Speaking of jump-ins, I think one of my posts is a bit late... -_-; [takes it off.]

This can be locked.
